Where to Find Course Materials

Canvas is the official home for this course. Everything you need—announcements, assignments, grades, policies, and course materials—is available there.

This website and the GitHub repository mirror the course materials and offer a few extras:

  • LaTeX source files — edit or build upon the original source code for problem sets and notes
  • Modification dates — see exactly when each file was last updated
  • Repo history — see exactly what changed in each update
  • Programmatic access — clone the repo or use the GitHub API to automate your workflow
  • Frequently Asked Questions — answers to common questions about the course

If you just want to download PDFs, Canvas is simpler. This site is here for those who want more.

Found an error or have a suggestion?

If you spot a typo, a broken link, or something that looks wrong in the course materials, you can let us know by opening an issue on the GitHub repository. Think of an issue as a short message that the instructor will see — no coding required.

  • Go to the Issues page (you will need a free GitHub account).
  • Click the green New issue button.
  • Give it a short title (e.g., “Typo in Problem Set 3, question 2”).
  • In the description box, explain what you noticed and where. The more specific you are, the easier it is to fix.
  • Click Submit new issue.

That’s it. You will get a notification when the issue is addressed.
